🌸 Our story

shilp. was born in 2026 in a one-room home studio in Shastri Nagar, Delhi — founded by Shilpa Arora and her co-founder Sonal Mathur, two women who decided that gifting in India deserved better than mass-produced trinkets and faceless factory imports.

For years, we watched the gifting market fill up with generic items — the same plastic photo frames, the same imported keychains, the same forgettable corporate hampers. So when 3D printing technology finally became accessible to small home businesses, we saw a chance to change that.

Today, every single piece on shilp. is designed, printed, packed, and shipped by us, by hand, from our home in Delhi. No middlemen. No warehouses. No imports. Just two women, one Bambu Lab multicolor 3D printer, and a lot of care for what we make.

Co-founder & Operations

The voice behind every customer conversation. Sonal handles social media, customer experience, content, and partnerships — making sure the story behind every piece reaches the right home.

🏡 Our home studio in Delhi

We work out of a single room in our home in Shastri Nagar — one printer, one desk, one packing corner, and a wall full of test prints. We don’t pretend to be bigger than we are, because being small is exactly what lets us care about every piece we make.

This home-based model means:

  • Zero overhead waste — every rupee goes into materials, quality, and growth
  • Made-to-order, every time — no warehoused inventory, no leftover stock, no plastic waste
  • Personal accountability — the people who made your piece are the people you talk to when you reach out

🌱 What we believe in

  • Indian craft, modern technology. Our designs draw from Indian motifs — mandalas, paisleys, festive elements — printed on world-class technology.
  • Honest pricing. Our prices reflect the actual cost of materials, time, and care — not marketing markups.
  • Slow over scale. We’d rather make 100 things people love than 10,000 things people forget.
  • Women supporting women. As we grow, we’re committed to hiring and training other women from our community in this new-age manufacturing skill.

🚀 Our vision — the next 12 months

shilp. is a registered MSME under the Government of India’s Udyam framework. Our roadmap for the next year:

  • Add a second 3D printer to double our production capacity
  • Hire one part-time team member — preferably a woman from the local community — for packaging and order fulfilment
  • Launch dedicated wedding and corporate gifting verticals
  • Expand to international customers via Etsy
  • Build India’s most recognisable women-led 3D printing brand
